Candidate will perform following activities, with more emphasis on RAN and network testing activities:
- Support Integration of QChat with RAN and Core networks.
- Support compilation, analysis and reporting of Field, Interoperability, and functional test data.
- Perform in depth analysis of drive test data to investigate latency, performance and call failure issues.
- Test QChat, RAN, handset and other network related performance and functionality meets the required KPIs.
- Support execution of Interoperability Testing (IOT) tests with RAN and Core networks.
- Support Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) to ensure that the network and handsets perform as required and meet performance KPIs
- Work with RAN vendors to clarify network requirements, and troubleshoot vendor issues.
- Estimated 25% travel is required to field locations in US, Mexico and South America.
- Experience working with 3G networks, including WCDMA or EVDO
- Strong understanding of mobile call setup, including system messages
- Knowledge of RAN configuration parameters
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards
- Experience in the deployment and testing of telecommunications systems
- Experience with Interoperability testing of systems with RAN, Packet Core Network, and handsets.
- Experience with handset and system performance and latency testing
- Good understanding of Layer 3 networking, and higher level data protocols such as SIP, DNS, TCP/IP, UDP
- Must have excellent communication and professional skills. This is a client facing role.
