VMWare Engineer
Skills: Strong VMware ESX 3.5, 4.1, and ESXi experience; HA and SRM technologies; Network architecture, design and configuration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitors infrastructure for optimal performance.
- Provides input for capacity planning, monthly reports, and requests/builds for appropriate needs.
- Supports development activities and manages projects, and efforts that require specialized infrastructure skills.
- Defines infrastructure requirements for the implementation of new applications (including storage and network).
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures, including gap analysis and periodic updates of existing procedures.
- Maintains all relevant documentation.
- Hands on design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex VMware environments.
- Provide VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) representation for near and long term planning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a VMWare System Engineer required.
- Familiarity with Virtualization build methodologies, performance tuning, storage and memory management, and ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Design, testing, and deployment of VMware infrastructures, with an emphasis on vCenter, vSphere, vSwitch, and vMotion components
- Configuration, implementation, and support of VMware DRS, HA, and SRM technologies.
- Network architecture, design, and configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of modern IT production datacenter and Internet hosting operations.
- Testing and implementation of highly available enterprise systems.
- Technical knowledge including: Network Architecture, Server and SAN configuration.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work to effectively meet program goals.
Strong VMware ESX 3.5, 4.1, and ESXi experience. - Ability to work in a fast paced environment and collaborate with various Engineering, DBA, Network, and applications group team members.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
