Solutions Architect - Sharepoint, Office 365, Networking, WAS/AIX, Banking
A leading Financial Services company with a reputation for excellence is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team on a contract basis.
Skills
- Experience translating Strategy & High-Level Business Requirements into end-2-end High-Level Solution Design for large infrastructure transformations, including the management of Business & IT Stakeholders, and Governance of detailed architecture design.
- Must have a high level of knowledge of Collaboration including work with Exchange, Sharepoint, Link and possibly Office 365, with supporting networking and Active Directory knowledge.
- A good understanding of architecture frameworks (aligned to TOGAF framework ) and demonstrable ability to produce high level designs
- Extensive experience of developing end to end infrastructure designs on medium to large-scale distributed projects including a knowledge of all components and their interactions Extensive experience of designing mid tier/Wintel infrastructure solutions.
- In particular, a detailed understanding of WAS/AIX, Wintel tachnologies and Active Directory is preferred
- Experience of service design within an ITIL framework A working knowledge of modelling languages such as UML
- A working knowledge of development processes, including testing approaches and methods
- Experience in technical roles on major application development or systems integration projects (eg technical/infrastructure architect, lead designer, lead developer)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels, both written and oral Strong consulting and influencing skills, including excellent presentation skills
