Description
IPTV TEST LEAD ARCHITECT - ContractRole and Responsibility;
Define the overall test strategy and test plans for the end-to-end and business acceptance testing of a carrier grade IPTV service for a reliable delivery of multi-screen entertainment services over IP
Ensure full alignment of the test strategy with the TV Platform High Level Solution Design, covering all critical components, interfaces and end-to-end functionality
Support and facilitate troubleshooting, root cause analysis and regression testing of fixes and patches
Support the IPTV Architect in defining, planning and testing platform improvements, such as new service features, performance, scalability, reliability, security and others.
Experience Required;
5+ years industry experience and expertise on IPTV technology, IPTV architecture design including integration with BSS and OSS systems.
5+ years relevant testing experience.
10+ years industry experience in the telecommunication and/or IT field (eg software engineering, system administration or network engineering/administration)
Knowledgeable in major technical disciplines necessary for the end-to-end system design, analysis, integration, and testing of various digital video broadcast and delivery systems
Understanding of video compression technologies
Deep understanding of MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264/AVC software compression and streaming video technologies
Set top box hardware and software specification, integration and testing
Extensive background in Internet related protocols and applications.
Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol and IP based networks
