CORE NETWORK DESIGN DIRECTOR - SAUDI ARABIA - MSC, MGW,HLR UTRAN, SGSN
My client is a leading telecommunications organisation based out of Riyadh Saudi Arabia and due to a massive upgrade project they require a highly skilled Core Network Design Director to design and optimize all mobile and fixed core network elements covering 2G, 3G, BSC/RNC and VAS solutions, LTE and fixed NGN to accommodate the subscriber traffic growth as per the business plan.
Role outline:
* The successful applicant will come from a strong telecoms background where they have been you involved in planning, design and engineering of the circuit and packet switched core network in the broadcast sense.
* You will have lead teams of engineers who have been responsible for design of the mobile and fixed NGN core infrastructure including IMS and HSS/HLR
Key responsibilities:
* Produce relevant detailed design documents and method of procedure for fixed and mobile core projects
* Prepare design plans for migration from Legacy PSTN to the soft-switch NGN networks and IMS
* Set future core network strategies, core architecture development and network roadmaps
* Be responsible for the introduction of IMS to cater both fixed as well as mobile related services including managing the RFP preparation
* Perform necessary architecture analysis and design for migration of VoBB, FTTH (fiber to the home) IP centrex and other applications to the NGN platforms
* Prepare plans for gradual migration of AG's from soft-switch to IMS
* RFP preparation, proposal evaluation and design for LTE/SAE
* Design new mobile core technologies such as MIP, IuCS/IuPS migration to IP, Iub over IP, migration to HSPA and HSPA+
Skills to include:
* Solid technical experience in all areas of design aspects for mobile and fixed core network nodes and structure including fixed soft-Switches, MSC-S, MGWs, HLRs, FNRs, STPs, UTRAN, SGSN, GGSN and fire walls
* Familiar with relevant IP security concepts and implementation of them
* Strong knowledge of technology trends for the selection of the most cost effective and best practices for core networks solutions
* Experience of multivendor environment, and knowledge of architecture TISPA/ETSI/ITU and 3GPP standards and their application to architecture and design of the core network.
This is role based in Riyadh Saudi Arabia and visa, flights etc will be taken care of by the client
