My Client is urgently looking for a number of Software Test Engineers for 6 month contract roles based onsite in Parkwest.

Looking for candidates with 5+ years Automation and Manual Test experience. Experience within a Unix environment is essential.
The role of a Senior Test Engineer involves working as part of a test team designing, developing & executing tests on Openet applications. Testing involves both manual & automated tests on Front End GUIs and Back End Servers. The role is based in the office with only occasional customer interaction and travel envisaged. The Senior Test Engineer must be able to take ownership of specific complex testing tasks, and take them to completion.
Some of the tasks involved are:
- Write Test Specifications from Requirements & Functional
- Design & execute manual and automated test cases
- Plan, estimate, manage progress & report status
- Investigate, evaluate & introduce tools, technologies & techniques
- Occasionally execute interoperability & acceptance testing on a customer site
Candidates must have strong working knowledge of the following:
- Good working Unix & Linux
- Scripting or Programming Languages such as Perl, PHP, Shell,C, Java
- Test automation
- Excellent Written & Oral Communication
- Some working knowledge of databases & tools, Oraclepreferred
- Telecommunications network and technology understanding
- Tools - test case/defect management
- Version Control - CVS/SVN
