We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with experience in IPTV/DVB technology with focus on IP streaming technologies!
This is a great opportunity to work as a Software Developer for one of our blue chip clients. Our client is a leader in the electronics market and you will be working with the latest technology in the Digital TV market to exceed the expectations of the consumers.
Function characteristics:
Main responsibility:
- Create, implement and test the design of one system on component level conform the departmental and project procedures and documentation, coding, test and verification guidelines.
- Based on the received subsystem design the Software Development Engineer specifies components if any and is responsible for coding and testing this subsystem.
- Combines manufactured and/or purchased subsystems into sets of components.
- Maintains software components.
- Consults other software engineers and hardware development engineers and other relevant disciplines.
- Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed software and any component design.
- Draws up his/her personal schedule and reports on progress.
- Guiding and supervising less experienced colleagues and trainees.
- Acts in line with departmental and project processes.
- Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of the literature and technical contacts.
Required experience:
- Experience in software development.
- Experience in working in teams.
- Experience in modern software engineering methods and processes.
- Higher vocational or University education in computer science or has reached this level through another form of training or experience.
- knowledge and understanding of other disciplines with which co-operation takes place.
- Knowledge of design methods and software engineering processes.
Required Expertise:
- High experience in Linux Embedded Systems
- High experience in C programming language
- Experience in IPTV/DVB technology with focus on IP streaming technologies including
- Transcoding/Encoding
- DRM
- DTCP-IP
- Security ( eg Data Encryption, Authentication, )
- Streaming content to external devices
- Experience in multi threaded/process development
- Experience in integrating third party deliverables into a working system
- Experience with integrating Linux Kernel modules
- Experience with Multimedia frameworks ( eg Gstreamer, container parsing, media playback, trickmode control.)
- Experience in debugging Linux Embedded Systems ( eg GDB )
