Sellick Partnership has been exclusively engaged to provide an interim Sourcing Specialist, based in Teesside. Our client is looking for someone who has experience of researching and mapping the procure-to-pay process for an ERP project.

Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing projects aimed at reducing cost, minimising risk and optimising business processes for indirect goods and services.
- Deliver savings and cost avoidance for assigned products and services.
- Develop and implement commodity strategies/services strategies as assigned, considering key industry, market and economic trends.
- Develop (or consolidate) and maintain a supply base of competitive and innovative suppliers.
- Facilitate work across departments, PD business units to develop common requirements and business processes to leverage key suppliers.
- Mediate issues between functional customers and suppliers as required.
- Adopt "Best in Class" procurement processes, practices, methodologies and tools - including Six Sigma and Ariba Spend Management
- Engage in and resolve commercial issues as they arise.
- Liaise with Legal to ensure all contractual terms and conditions are approved and corporate risk is minimized. Develop and implement contracts in order to minimise risk
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring specifications, deliverables and performance metrics are clear and can be easily quantified.
- Establish and maintain close links with internal customers/functional owners
- Lead supplier negotiations for allocated commodities.
- Identify, plan and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
- Analyse purchasing data and recommend improvements in the "procure to pay" flow.
- Support the Procurement Manager with data gathering in preparation for conducting Sourcing Events.
- Obtain spend data and conduct analysis to identify market share.

Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in similar role would be an advantage
- Strong analysis skills
- Advanced IT skills (MS Office package and Visio)
- Excellent communication, presentation and numerical skills
- Knowledge of general business practices would be an asset
