Description
This is a team leadership role requiring very strong technical and architectural skills and strong communications. The Lead Integration Engineer will have overall responsibility for the integration of 3rd party systems into the Learning Management System.
Duties:
*Work with core development team to identify integration requirements.
*Create Proof-Of-Concepts for integrations and define initial implementation contracts
*Work with architectural teams to ensure that all integrations are architecturally sound and consistent with architectural principles.
*Participate in all phases of development
*Ensure the quality of the development teams deliveries, lead code review and developer/unit testing process
*Create metrics and track progress against them
Requirements:
*Team leadership or experience in a senior role
*Experienced software developer with broad understanding of all aspects of optimal software development
*Ability to influence technical discussions and provide technical leadership
*Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on other project teams, development partners and stakeholders
*Ideal candidate will have 7 years hands on industry experience, with at least 3 years team lead experience
*Experience of integrating large scale enterprise systems together using a variety of technologies such as SOAP, XML, XSLT, Web Services.
*Experience across a broad spectrum of technologies along with experience of integrating them together.
*Knowledge of TFS (Team Foundation Server), CI (Continuous Integration) and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
