Description
This large government organisation is looking for an experienced Program Officer to develop and implement a risk management framework, comprising strategies, policies, standards and methods to support the delivery of this high profile port folio of work. This is an initial contract through till 30 June 2012 with possible extensions based in the CBD.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a risk management framework, comprising strategies, policies, standards and methods to support the delivery of the Program of Work
- Develop and implement risk management tools and templates
- Provide professional, authoritative and timely strategic advice to senior management on issues of a complex nature pertaining to program and project risk management.
- Assist in the development and management of the implementation of policies and procedures to maximize program and project performance delivery.
- Provide visible and consistent program and project management leadership, direction and focus across the department.
- Maintain current knowledge of formulate responses to emerging trends in project and program management methodologies within Queensland government and the private sector.
- Formulate and prepare proposals, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers of a complex nature and negotiate recommendations at Senior Executive level on policies and procedures as they relate to program management.
