Our client, a global leader in the IT field, currently has an opening for a Senior Infrastructure Architect with strong experience with Citrix to join their team. The role will initially be for a period of 6 months but due to the scope of the project is likely to go much longer. The position will primarily be based at Macquarie Park with some of your time in the CBD.

The Technical Infrastructure Architect is a leading technology expert and consultant, who uses extensive experience and expertise to define technology strategy for clients, and to create technology infrastructure designs where the customer and/or business problem is of a complexity requiring the highest level of expertise. The role has Technical Authority across technology strategy and across solutions for multiple clients and services.

The Technical Infrastructure Architect will analyse requirements in generic and/or specific contexts and translate those requirements into effective and cost-effective, re-usable solutions. The role is crucially dependent on an ability to assess the readiness of developing technologies and their inherent risk, for exploitation by clients, selecting and integrating components of vastly differing maturity to create the solutions.

To be considered for this role you must have as a minimum 5 years experience with the following;
  • Presentation Virtualisation (Essential), including Server Based Computing (SBC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare products
  • Application Virtualisation (Desirable), such as Microsoft App-V and Citrix XenApp
  • Server Virtualisation (Desirable), such as VMWare ESX and Citrix XenServer
  • Desktop Application Management (should have at least 5 years experience with the following technologies
  • Presentation Virtualisation (Essential), including Server Based Computing (SBC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare products
  • Application Virtualisation (Desirable), such as Microsoft App-V and Citrix XenApp
  • Server Virtualisation (Desirable), such as VMWare ESX and Citrix XenServer
  • Desktop Application Management (Desirable) - Software Distribution/Asset Management, Application Packaging and Testing
  • Desktop Software and Management - Microsoft Desktop Family (XP, Vista, 7), Systems Management
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Active Directory including designing and implementing group policy in a large enterprise in AD and SCCM (Desirable)
  • Experience designing and implementing a large complex AD structure (Desirable)
