The mission of the SDV Business Intelligence domain is ensure that data about our customers, products & infrastructure is extracted, integrated, stored and made accessible in a timely, cost efficient and qualitative way to enable strategic, tactical and operational decisions which help the company to achieve its goals.
Within Business Intelligence, the Infrastructure & Services Intelligence team is responsible for the development and maintenance of multiple software applications that collect the metrics from the Fixed Line and Mobile network and deliver the data for reporting purposes to enable Performance Measurement, IT Capacity management, Network monitoring, Web Analytics, Customer Centric Service Management and SLA Management.
As Engineer, you are involved in projects related to the definition, selection, development and implementation of new IT and Network solutions, new features or enhancements (Service Reporting portal, Explore Service Reporting, IMS Reporting, Mobile Data Traffic Management, Mobile Service Reporting, HERMAN ).
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Analyse and challenge the business needs.
- Translate and document these needs in an analytical document, taking into account functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop the solution, test and implement until its validation in close collaboration with users, testers and possibly offshore partners and vendors.
In these activities, you will have the support of an architect.

Fixed or mobile network (incl. services) infrastructure.
Monitoring, Reporting or Management solutions/platforms like Tivoli or Ehealth.
Protocols like SNMP and TCP/IP.
UNIX.
Oracle.
Programming languages like Perl, C++ and Java.
Data warehousing and related tools.
