Economist/Staticician wanted.

Skills needed: Professional Economist, very strong proven skills in numerical analysis, using relatively complex mathematical, statistical or economic techniques to support decision making.

My Hampshire based client is looking for a Economist/Staticician to take on a one month contract.

The Economist/Staticician will be required to recommend an approach or approaches for the quantification of benefits by the client's project ensuring that recommendations utilise widely accepted and recognised technical approaches relevant to the nature of the programme.

The Economist/Staticician role will be:

To develop a template and at least one worked up example quantifying the benefits to one user and/or of one dataset.

To highlight risks and issues inherent in the recommended approach(es).

This will be achieved through the following deliverables:
*A written report on the above
*A presentation on the report to senior managers in the client's project.
*A spreadsheet model for calculation of benefit

Skills needed:

*Very strong, proven skills in numerical analysis, using relatively complex mathematical, statistical or economic techniques to support decision making
*Some experience of identifying, defining, measuring and tracking benefits
*Excellent communication skills. Evidence of developing and delivering workshops, presentations and report writing for a variety of audiences
*Good people skills: able to negotiate, influence and deal with ambiguity when dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
