Description
We are currently looking for an experienced developer to join our team of product developers working in an Agile environment enhancing our high volume, auto-scaling, cloud apps.
As an experienced developer you will be flexible and fleet of foot. You must be a multi-tasker and capable of managing interruptions in your everyday tasks to deal with urgent requirements.
You will be involved in live development support, including bug fixes, analysis of logs to identify potential issues and playing an active role in their resolution, support client activity and interfacing with internal staff to make system improvements.
With skills in XML, web services, and Unix (Linux), you will have a good understanding of browser-based front ends. Additional skills in Java, Javascript, CSS, XSLT, Python, Ajax, XForms and exposure to a cloud environment would be welcome.
You will be helping to develop and maintain insurance applications so previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will have an appreciation of the merits of test driven development, code control, continuous builds and such like. In return we offer ultra-flexible working arrangements, and a true team-based approach where everyone's ideas count.
With offices in Berkshire and Southampton, plus the flexibility of working from home, candidates will be required to do occasional travel to client site.
