Our client requires a Controls Engineer with significant North Sea/Subsea experience.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
To assist Lead C&I Engineer with all Control and Safety System related activities; To coordinate with offshore operations personnel issues relating to day to day operation of the platform from a controls and instrumentation perspective; To implement changes to the client's control systems under the Management of Change Procedures; Provide coordination of all Control and Safety System activities on the client's operated assets to ensure a consistent approach to Control System design; Ability to pre-actively liaise with Operating Company representatives for C & I activities for 3rd Party installations to which the client's facilities are connected; To assist the Lead C&I Engineer in the delivery of design changes and modifications under the client's MOC process; Assist with project control and instrumentation activities as and where required; Keep abreast of the latest developments and technology in Control Engineering; Assist with the development and maintenance of the client's standards and procedures for Control and Safety system design; Ensuring the Control and Safety Systems are implemented and commissioned in a satisfactory manner in accordance with Project schedules and requirements; Providing support to the client's MOC's and implementing related control and instrumentation issues; Providing onshore support to offshore personnel in relation to control and instrumentation activities, issues and problems; Assisting with implementation and maintenance of the PI system for all the client's Operated Assets; Provides an in-house expertise in a key area of the business directly affecting offshore safety and productivity. Candidates will require the following: Membership of recognised Professional Inst relevant to Control & Instrument; Knowledge of Platform (plus Subsea Control System design; Degree qualified or HNC; significant experience in a similar role; Offshore survival (BOSIET) and willing to work offshore occasionally; Knowledge of project management and planning techniques and Understanding of platform design and operating criteria.
