Description
Our client, a giant international IT organisation, has an immediate requirement for a System Analyst. The role will be based in the CBD and will be with one of their major clients, a leading financial organisation. The position will be for an initial period of 6 months but due to the amount of upcoming work will likely extend for longer.
The successful candidate will be a member of a team that provides application support for online production applications and an internally developed WebSphere application. You will also be required to perform all maintenance and day-to-day activities for production environments, provide level 1, 2 and 3 Support of production applications as well as various other support tasks such as alert monitoring, opening trouble tickets, general escalations and client coordination.
To be considered for this role you will need the following;
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Production Support of online applications
- Experience with Content Management Systems
- An understanding of HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies
- Advanced Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration
- Demonstrated experience using SQL or similar query language
- Demonstrated experience using Incident management tools
- Understanding of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures
