As Project Manager IT Infrastructure, you are in charge of the planning, execution and delivery of IT infrastructure projects (renewals and upgrades of the Servers, storage, databases and Middleware.

As IT Infrastructure Project Manager:
-You build your project's business case, including appropriate project justification, scope, deliverables and costs: workload (from all impacted teams), non-workload (investments, maintenance and support), cost savings and avoidance, project success and acceptance criteria, etc. Eventually, you recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary (due to scope changes, etc.).
-In cooperation with all impacted parties (engineering, operational, applicative teams, change & release management), you establish the most efficient migration plan, taking into account application and infrastructure dependencies, optimisation needs (eg virtualisation, consolidation), timing, quality and budget constraints.
-Together with the engineering technology owners (Unix, Windows, storage, Middleware), you identify all infrastructure components impacted by your renewal and migration projects.
-In collaboration with application owners, you assess the impact of migrating their applications across the IT landscape.
-You ensure the proper delivery of the target/renewed IT infrastructure landscape taking into account all above constraints.
-You interact on an on-going basis with project sponsors, other project managers, domain experts, stakeholders to ensure project alignment, progress reporting (budget, scope, timing, risks & mitigation).
-You ensure the existence, development and maintenance of adequate project documentation by all parties.
-You enforce, where needed, the non-functional requirements as part of your projects.
-You Identify, mitigate and report risks and issues arising within the project, and troubleshoot problem areas where relevant.
-You ensure post-mortem project evaluation.

Qualifications:
-5-10 years of experience and active participation in project management, preferably in a large IT infrastructure base.
-Technical understanding of several of the following domains: Server and Storage hardware and software, Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, Windows), Storage Area Networks, Databases and Middleware, Network, Virtualization and Consolidation, Cloud computing, Security, Enterprise systems and applications (SAP, Siebel, Oracle, etc), Clustering, Load Balancing and Business Continuity.
-Sound knowledge of Configuration, Release and Change management processes and tools.
-Expert knowledge of planning and communication tools (Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, Excel, etc).
Non-technical skills:
-Project management experience and budget supervision (project cost structure, investments, operational costs).
-Excellent oral and written communication skills (English a must, to be supplemented Dutch and/or French).
-Experience in working both independently and in team.
-Most important skills: entrepreneurship and initiative taking, priority setting and result orientated, problem solving and negotiation skills, management information and reporting, presentation and communication skills, customer orientation, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
