Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Middleware Application Administrator for a 10 month contract based in Finland.
To be considered for the role of Middleware Application Administrator you will have the following:
- Experience with Chef
- Experience of Ruby and Scripting skills in either WLST, Python, Ruby or Perl
- Experience of automated provisioning, Puppet, Capistrano, Apache Ant, Apache subversion, Git, Ganglia, Cacti, Jenkins (Hudson), Splunk
- Linux environments preferably Red Hat (v5 upwards) or Ubuntu
- Unix Shell Scripts
- Virtualisation (eg VMWare ESX)
- Oracle Weblogic product family (v11 upwards)
- Web Application and Web Servers (Apache Tomcat v5+, JBoss 4.1+, Apache HTTP server v2+ or MS IIS)
- Databases (Oracle 11g, SQL Server 2005, PostgreSQL v8.3+ or MySQL v5+)
- Monitoring tools (Zenoss Enterprise 3.1 or Nagios 3.0)
- Java admin knowledge (eg jconsole, jstat etc.)
The role will involve creating Chef recipes and cookbooks and deploying software and Middleware components via Chef. Other tasks will include: automating provisioning processes, monitor applications, setting up environments etc.
All applicants must be eligible (EU Passport/Work Permit Holders) and willing to work in Finland on a full time basis.
