The Infrastructure Architect will have strong knowledge of WebSphere/AIX/z/OS/High Availability/J2EE/Oracle/SAN implementations both from a practical and strong technical stance.
either to recommend an architecture, assist the customer in defining their architecture or to review the customer developed architecture, Based around WebSphere/AIX/z/OS/High Availability/J2EE/Oracle/SAN implementations.
Essential skills:
* Detailed knowledge of planning, configuring and administrating IBM WebSphere implementations (preferably WebSphere 6 or 7)
* Detailed knowledge of Oracle database from a HA and DRP perspective
* Knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ - preferably on both Unix and z/OS platforms; SI Bus is a nice to have
* Understanding of SAN implementations
* Ability to assist customers in defining their infrastructure objectives and requirements
* Ability to define deployment architecture for HA and DRP to meet customer requirements
* Ability to review and provide feedback to customers on proposed deployment architectures
* Ability to define and communicate "good practice" reference architectures
Possible involvement in product capacity planning and High Availability tests.
Nice to Have skills:
Payment operations and similar setups for large banks or clearing houses handling Real Time and batch processing.
