Financial controller/Finance Change Manager

We currently have an urgent requirement for Senior Controller and process improvement manager to work within a large blue chip organisation in order to become part of the IT performance management team, which carries out budgets/forecasts/reports for the IT department of 500 staff, serving Front Office, Back Office, trading and also risk executives. There are also a number of follow up projects and so it is very likely that there is going to be an extension.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Drive a major re-planning exercise prompted by business variances, at the same time improving drastically the quality of the budget and forecast assumptions and drivers
  • Translate the outcome of this exercise into 2012 forecast, long term plans
  • Support the team in coaching the 12 key IT managers to do meaningful monthly budget follow-up and operational corrections ('performance management')
  • The ongoing activities typically involve partnering with managers to advise them on how to improve their department's overall performance (all dimensions of service delivery, not just cost). As a member of the team, you will contribute to the annual forecasting and budgeting cycle, acting as 'voice' of your managers.
