Infrastructure Project Manager with strong technical awareness
My client requires a strong Project Manager from an IT Infrastructure background
The Project Manager will be responsible for
- the end-to-end delivery of one or more of the migration streams
- liaising with key technology and business stakeholders
- producing and managing all project documentation with an emphasis on governance.
The Project Manager will also estimate, project, track and report on finances and where necessary, will take the lead on the production of detailed business plans to obtain project authorisation.
The ability to monitor project progress and provide clear and unambiguous written and verbal reports of project status to keep key stakeholders updated is vital.

Specialist Knowledge
1.Project Management and associated methods and tools
2.In-depth knowledge of full systems life cycle
3.Broad business knowledge including commercial, financial and technical awareness
4.PCI Compliance
Industry Experience
1.Significant project management experience on infrastructure projects eg IT, telecoms
2.Experience of managing resources within a Project environment
3.Demonstrable relevant experience of operating in a systems development environment, including direct experience in many of the various roles
4.Significant experience of delivering infrastructure projects through others and without direct control in a Matrix environment
5.Relevant experience in a fast paced industry
6.Previous relevant experience of customer, supplier and relationship management, particularly including management of negotiations
Skills
1.Technical Project Management - managing delivery through all stages of the systems life cycle (Initiation, Analysis, Design, Build and Implementation)
2.Project Management - skilled in at least one formal project management method used in a cross disciplined environment
3.Planning and Control skills, using recognised Project Management tools
4.Relationship Management - establishing and sustaining strong customer and supplier relationships, contractual negotiations, etc
5.People Management - particularly managing people without direct authority
6.Communication skills - credible with senior management, good at conflict resolution
