IT Europe, as Regional Entity, has as mission:
- Accompany CIB European territories in their daily production monitoring
- Support local entities with the installation of the new versions or functions of standard applications
- Adapting applications in scope according to the specific needs of the different sites in the context of regulations or specific customer requests.
- Ensure the coordination with the Maîtrises d'Ouvrage and the central Functions of the project involving branches in Europe
- Represent the interests of local entities within the central projects

In order to represent the local entities within IT Europe and keep the local entities informed of the progress of their projects and demands in IT Europe the function of Site Account Manager (SAM) has been created.

Play an account manager role, representing a number of local entities (also called sites) within the IT Europe organisation. This consists in a.o.:
Assist in the construction the 'plan d'action' of IT Europe based on the input and requests received from the Branches
Doing follow up of the central projects, giving the necessary feedback to the respective sites.
Having regular contacts with the sites (including an occasional visit), thereby discussion view of IT Europe.
Keep up to date with the evolution of banking practices and products.
Produce periodic reporting to Head of IT Europe SAMs Team
Next to the account manager role, each Sam also needs to be specialist in some transversal domains, in order to assist his colleague SAMS for specific questions in his domain.
