Description
The Virtualization Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the strategy and technical roadmap for the virtualized platforms within the company and for the continuous review of existing technology to enhance performance in coordination with the Infrastructure Operations Teams.
You task will consist of all architectural design, development and deployment of sustainable technical and application solutions to meet business requirements.
The Virtualization Infrastructure Architect will need to be driven, robust, self-motivated, delivery focused
*demonstrable experience in the design and implementation of a virtualization project for a large enterprise environment;
*with experience in the following areas and subject matter and expert in at least one of the areas:
- Deep skills (VCP Certification a plus) in VMware virtualization and management products (vSphere, vCenter etc.) and solutions strongly desired.
- server technologies; Intel Based Systems up to high end enterprise systems, Linux (Red Hat), Windows, etc;
- storage technologies; SAN (iSCSI, FCoE, FC),Enterprise Storage/SAN Switch; Platforms; NetApp, Brocade hardware Expertise, Cisco Nexus;
*At least 4+ years experience in architecting and deploying virtualization solutions with significant depth around designing, implementing, and managing critical cross-functional integration projects in enterprise datacenters;
* Is a fully accredited VMWARE Architect familiar with all products and application;
* Prior experience with IT Service Management processes, frameworks, and methodologies is desirable;
* A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience as Enterprise Architect VMWARE
*Ensuring the Solutions Portfolio (deployment guides, best practices, sizing whitepapers and solution reference architectures) are technically sound, deliverable and representative of the latest knowledge in the application of technology to addressing our Customer's business issues;
