We are seeking a highly experienced, senior level, Infrastructure Design Specialist to join our Solution Design Team. In this position, you will utilize enterprise class technologies IBM pSeries/AIX, HP BL/DL, IBM xSeries, VMWare, Linux, Windows Server, MSCS, MS SQL Server, Oracle RAC and EMC NAS/SAN Storage to architect Infrastructure Solutions in support of mission critical, highly available systems delivering critical IT services to care providers and patients. You will design solutions for the entire technology stack including hardware and software platforms for server, storage, clustering, data replication, disaster recovery, application, database, and messaging platforms. 

In addition you will lead infrastructure optimization initiatives, and contribute to the development of system/platform roadmaps and standards. Considerable expertise with both breadth and depth in the areas of hardware and software infrastructure design and engineering is essential. 

Required Qualifications: 
Experience capturing and evaluating non-functional system requirements. 
Understanding of and experience in documenting Logical and Physical solution design models. 
Experience capturing and analysing system requirements to identify appropriate infrastructure platform solutions including server, storage, clustering, integration, messaging, application/database platforms, backup/recovery, replication, DR. 
Senior level expertise with pSeries, AIX, HP DL/BL hardware, xSeries, Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Cluster Server, EMC Storage, and Microsoft SQL Server. 
Senior level expertise with VMWare ESX Server/Hipervisor. (ESX 3.5 and 4.0), Virtual Center. 
Senior level expertise with VMWare Site Recovery Manager, and data replication and recovery strategies in a VMWare environment. 
Advanced knowledge and experience with Redhat Linux. 
Extensive experience with data center migration and server consolidation projects. In depth understanding of the process for evaluating, analysing, planning, and executing physical to virtual migrations. Must understand how to analyze physical server utilization in order to appropriately size the target VM environment. 
Must be able to clearly articulate solution alternatives and trade-offs, and develop sound recommendations for end-to-end infrastructure technology solutions. 
Experience and understanding of how to size systems, and how to design solutions to meet availability and performance requirements. 
Must possess excellent communication skills with experience communicating in professional manner with Sr. Management and Business customers. 
Must be able to produce thorough, comprehensive, detailed, high-quality documentation using MS Office suite, Visio, and Powerpoint. 
Must possess strong initiative and be self motivated. 
Thorough understanding of enterprise scale network technologies - switch, Router, Firewall, load-balancer. 
Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, an engineering discipline, business, or related field. 
Must be able to multitask with effective time management skills supporting multiple IT projects and work efforts. 
Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs. 
Occasional travel may be required. 

Minimum 10 years IT experience. Prior experience as Sr. Level IT Infrastructure Architect. 

Required: Must be senior level infrastructure architect and design specialist. Background should include extensive hands-on (Sr. Systems Engineer) and large scale project engagement to design IT infrastructure based on requirements. This needs to include Unix, Windows Server Operating system, Microsoft Cluster Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Redhat/SUSE Linux, and VMWARE expertise. Must understand high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery soluions. 

In depth understanding of IBM SystemP, and EMC storage environment. Skill Set: SystemP, AIX, VIO, HACMP, EMC, SRDF, disaster recovery, capacity planning, scalability, sizing, estimation, documentation, visio, workd, Powerpoint. Background in Systems/Storage Administration. In depth expertise required. 

Background should include Client Server Computing. Distributed Processing. Develop Design Specifications. Internet Computing. Development Life Cycle for Software. Mainframe Computing. Development Methodology and Procedures. Software Evaluation. Schematic Architecture Design. Engineering Systems Architectures. Data Analysis. Network Architecture and Design.
