Web Tester - Automation experience required
Responsibilities
Managing QA processes and executing high-level testing tasks on multiple web-based projects (typically functional, system and acceptance testing).
Mastery of both us and client-specific web standards and guidelines.
Writing test plans, test cases and test data and recording them on the company Intranet (Atlassian Confluence).
Testing web-based deliverables according to the requirements.
Checking web-based deliverables against both internally and client standards.
Issue management.
In association with the QA Lead, improving QA processes via regular analysis of results data.
Offering internal consultancy on industry standards, guidelines and best practice on the web.
Owning the QA process on the account, ensuring risk is minimised and all deliverables are of the highest possible quality.
Required skills and experience
You must have:
Bachelor degree or better.
Agency experience working in an intense team environment to tight deadlines.
4+ years experience testing web sites and/or browser-based software with a minimum of 1 year in a lead role.
Test automation experience, ideally using Selenium, watir and cucumber.
Expertise and fluency in synthesizing knowledge into clever, innovative testing solutions.
A solid understanding of development life cycles and how QA fits into the process
Knowledge of contemporary web software QA tools and methodologies.
Web-based workflow and/or issue tracking experience (eg Atlassian JIRA).
A highly developed eye for detail.
A demonstrable pro-active, practical, patient and diplomatic approach.
Experience using the Microsoft Office tool set.
What we would also like:
Experience using the Microsoft Office tool set.
ISTQB-ISEB qualification in Software Testing.
Mobile web-site testing experience.
Accessibility experience
Passion for the latest software, hardware, electronics, gadgets and Internet developments
Engaged in Internet developments, egown blog or other social media presence.
