Description
We are currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for designing and coordinating the delivery of end-to-end infrastructure solutions and to support core enterprise infrastructure and enterprise application systems. Delivery of infrastructure solutions includes assessing requirements, designing technical infrastructure, coordinate and assist the operations group in testing, deployment and implementation. You will aid support and maintain core enterprise systems and devices such as networking equipment, SAN, and virtualization.
Requirements:
Analyse and design enterprise infrastructure solutions
Document technical design and operational procedures
Develop infrastructure delivery approach and plan; and coordinate execution
Assist operations group in the delivery of infrastructure solutions
Assist operations group to proactively manage and maintain systems
Assist operations group with support issues and problem management
Identify and evaluate technologies to improve IT Infrastructure
Provide thought leadership on infrastructure architecture
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience, 6+ years of Enterprise level design and support experience
Demonstrated strong understanding of network design and protocols
Experience with multiple types of systems and applications architecture, running on multiple hardware and software platforms
Proficient in design and process definition and documentation, Windows Server ) & Desktop (XP/7) Switch and Router management, Firewall policy management
Familiar with VPN tunnelling PowerShell/VBScript/esxcli VMware ESX 4.x, 5.x/vCenter/View/Thinapp VMware Site Recovery Manager EMC SAN design and support, Fiber network management for SAN connectivity VCP (VMware Certified Professional) Certification Cisco or other vendor networking Certifications, Microsoft MCSE or any other relevant Certifications
