Candle are seeking a high calibre Technology Specialists to contract for this market leader based in the CBD.This position will appeal to well rounded Specialist with a strong networking background, combined with L4 defect analysis, Oracle Database Implementation experience, and Linux or Unix experience.
Working in friendly and professional team, you will be utilising your skills to the max! some of the skills and experience required is as follows:
- The capability to design, build and deploy database technology in line with current and future strategy.
- Strong background in Network Engineering - underpinning network fabric (network Switches, Firewalls, host-2-host, server load balancers, etc)
- Desirable - appreciation of compute and store infrastructure, as utilized in the test/model environments
- Extensive experience and appreciation with emphasis on design, implementation, configuration and L4 Defect Analysis and Resolution
- Extensive experience in platforms leveraged by the Online group, including an appreciation of one more systems/applications related to Online.
- Knowledge and Appreciation of technology trends and direction.
- Desirable - experience in Oracle Database implementation, management and level 3 diagnosis and analysis
- Desirable - experience in Solaris, Linux, or Red Hat system administration
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all stakeholders and Online groups - with diplomacy and finesse
- A self starter, with the ability to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Previous Telco experience would be advantageous for this role although essential.
