Senior Support Engineer Office 2010

Description of Work:

A programme is being set up the migration to Windows 7 and Office 2010. It is scheduled to run through 2012 and 2013. The programme will centre on the migration of machines, users and the supported applications they use.

The primary responsibility for converting (where necessary) Word, Excel and Access files, with automation built in, will be with the owning end users in the business. The programme will provide support to these end users via a single point of contact, specialist.

Maintain an inventory of known issues (in the world at large) and to supplement this with issues identified by users during the programme. The ability to be free standing in setting up such an inventory would be an advantage.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education: bachelor in IT degree preferable

An Office 2010 specialist with a broad understanding of the various components (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and with a good grasp of the automation mechanisms these packages support.

* Visual Basic

Be aware in general of the issues with migration from Office 2003 and of proprietary tools available for analysing potential issues in files.

Be able to communicate, at their technical level, with end users to explain issues and solutions.

Required Languages: Dutch, French, English
