Our client, a leading global IT outsourcer, currently has a requirement for a Senior SOE Engineer to work in their Macquarie Park office. The role is a permanent opportunity and will be to work on several major upcoming projects.

The successful applicant will be an advanced level engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience with Microsoft based Operating System image creation, customisations and deployment methods. The Senior SOE Engineer also performs services to plan, organises, designs and installs complex client images or products as part of a team including operating system administration, platform support and maintenance, performance management, security compliance support, and S/W Packaging and Distribution.

The main responsibilities of the role will be;

  • Assist SOE engineers with creation of the client specific SOE
  • Provide third level technical support for complex SOE problems and incidents
  • Development of Standard Operating Environment (SOE) internal processes in line with operational and business requirements
  • Provide process and toolset improvement/issues feedback
  • Provide coordination on all aspects of the release of upgraded or newly created SOE images/updates from DEV and UAT through to production environments

  • Microsoft Windows 7/XP
  • Microsoft SMS 2003 and Microsoft SCCM
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • Microsoft Application Virtualisation 4.5
  • Microsoft Virtual PC/Virtual Server/Hyper-V
  • VMware View (VDI)
  • VMware Workstation
  • ITIL Certification
  • VB Scripting
