Senior Technical Project Manager/Enterprise Architect
Overview/Project
Major media company implementing new subscription model across more than eighty properties, providing consumers full access to all online and print platforms.
The position will own build/launch of two private cloud environments, build/launch of application environment, transition from development, application/platform integration and site deployments.
This position has overarching schedule accountability and technical ownership.
The role leads cross-functional teams from multiple divisions and provides enterprise architecture oversight to ensure sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
Senior Project/Program Management, Enterprise Architect experience in a Fortune 500/Enterprise Technology
Environment (10 years); including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communications.
Building and leading distributed, cross-functional teams. Experienced working in a distributed environment.
Working with business areas to prioritize requirements and select appropriate technology to deliver effective business solutions and achieve business benefits.
Requirements elicitation and process analysis and design expertise.
Experience with the SDLC, including Agile
Experience managing the implementation/sustainment of infrastructure and web based solutions supporting large web environment.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to build and manage cross-functional project teams consisting of IT and business resources.
Ability to manage distributed teams and maneuver through challenged posed by divisions with competing priorities.
Ability to navigate within a fast-paced dynamic environment and reduce ambiguity to deliver large and complex projects.
Responsibilities
Owns and drives successful execution and delivery of major strategic initiatives.
Proactively assesses project risks, reports on forward looking mitigation strategies and candidly communicates issues likely to impact quality and schedule.
Provides enterprise architecture planning, integration, oversight, evaluation and coordination of multiple platforms and systems that play critical roles in overall solution.
Influences operational and executive leadership within the business areas to create and maintain alignment around the project business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, and constrains impacting project delivery.
Negotiates across multiple functions to resolve project conflicts and competing priorities.
Communicates state of the project to executive leadership.
Drives project execution and delivery according to business needs and requirements.
Leads cross-functional technology teams (Matrix) to deliver technology platform to the business.
Assesses project health and directs any necessary corrective measures.
Creatively applies project management processes to address unique situations. Assesses project status and directs corrective measures to ensure project success including escalation and visibility to Senior Leadership when appropriate.
Creates project plans detailing project schedule, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities.
Establishes project roles and responsibilities and provides team members with clear direction. Develops and actively manages project schedule, resources, and budget.
Manages resource gaps and acquisitions, engaging third party suppliers for outsourced services as needed.
Manages vendor technical relationships critical to project success.
