My client is a large government agency with strong links to the community. Its Information Technology division is the largest in Queensland and supports the delivery of the services provided by the organisation.
They are looking to employ an experienced SAP Solution Architect to provide expert advice and guidance to the SAP stream leads in the areas of: SAP Procurement - MM, SAP Procurement - IM inventory Management, SAP Finance, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP CRM, SAP Real Estate, SAP Project Systems and SAP HR Organisation Structure.
SAP Solution Architect reports into the Domain Leader for Architecture
Scope of Position
- To analyse proposed solution designs in order to ensure the solution configuration and architecture is aligned with ERP/Property Program Blueprints and future needs.
- Provide the Architecture team SAP product specific guidance in integration and information architecture areas.
- Establish SAP specific technical standards by working closely with implementation teams
- Evaluate SAP products offered by SAP and/or 3rd party providers, as part of ongoing and future product strategy
- Ensure the architecture and design is preserved and incorporated into Client's Enterprise Architecture framework, processes and repositories
- Manage the cutover (technical and business) to SAP from defined Legacy systems
- Optimal system design and configuration of the SAP functionality across the various system components
- Manage, build, implementation, configuration activities and work with project teams to troubleshoot solutions and processes
- Provide input and guidance to other streams within the project as well as the business.
- Work with and manage SAP Functional Consultants to ensure a fully integrated ERP system meets The Client's business requirements.
- Work with all other areas of the ERP/Property Program including data migration, systems integration, testing and business subject matter experts in documenting the all the required artefacts of the ERP/Property Program.
- Provide expert SAP application and technology architecture whilst ensuring alignment of initiatives with enterprise application, development and infrastructure architectural standards and corporate objectives.
- To complete Enterprise Solution Architecture deliverable/s including identifying and capturing interactions and dependencies of SAP Business suit applications, SAP modules, ancillary and Legacy application software, hardware infrastructure used or assumed as required.
To be further considered, you will need
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a SAP functional and integration in the area of complex SAP ERP implementation projects is essential (Procurement - MM, Procurement- IM, Finance, Plant Maintenance, Real Estate (RxFx), CRM, xRPM ).
- Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on strategic business or technical requirement.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research)
- Any experience in implementing non-SAP content management system (ie OpenText xECM or MS Sharepoint) integrated with SAP will be highly advantageous.
- Appropriate business and computing qualifications and substantial knowledge and/or minimum 6 years experience as a solution architect in a large complex organisation on activities of comparable scale and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience in design, configuring and delivery of enterprise solutions supporting business transformation objectives
