The Automation Specialist will work on the Quality Assurance team in the Identity and Access Management department which is responsible for user account provisioning activities for over 200 different enterprise applications (RACF Mainframe, Active Directory, Lotus Notes, UNIX, RAS, etc) used by more than 150,000 users. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute both manual test scripts and to enter and track defects using HP's Quality Center.
Daily Responsibilities:
Automating & executing test cases using Quick Test Pro (QTP)
Converting existing manual test cases into automated test cases
Creating a comprehensive regression test suites for different testing projects written in JAVA, Web Applications, Tivoli identity manager and adding validations using SQL queries
Escalating testing and project issues to test leads and management
Tracking and managing all defects using Quality Center
Required Skills:
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle is expected
Experience in HP Quality Center tool QTP is required
Must know how to run the QTP scripts from Quality Center: QTP - QC Integration
Practical experience and solid understanding of the technologies/tools in QTP, Unix, Windows, SQL, Quality Center etc
Desired Skills:
User level knowledge of Star Team
Strong VBScript knowledge
Working knowledge of automation using component based architecture is a plus
Identity and Access Management application experience IBM Tivoli & Oracle OIM/OIA
Soft Skills:
Follow the automation standards set by the Automation Central Team
Minimum of 3-5 years designing complex QTP automation scripts
Strong verbal & written communication
Works well in Team environment
