Software Designer (12 month contract), Nicosia

Investment and Finance Group is seeking a Software Designer for a 12 month contract.
The role is to undertake the following duties:
Redesign and maintenance of graphical user interface of an existing software system
Design and documentation of UI guidelines
Streamlining of software design processes
Collaboration with programming team and QA to release a commercial software product available for market
Translation of business requirements into software architecture tasks
Key Skill Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
Previous experience in design and documentation of a successful commercial software product
Proficiency in .NET environment with focus on Visual Basic and Visual Studio 2010
Proven track records of graphical UI design, web design and graphic design
Working knowledge of SQL, familiarity with MS SQL server or similar RDBS
Excellent knowledge of Object Orientated programming and familiarity with ODB
Good knowledge of agile programming procedures
Minimum 10 years' experience in development/web design
Excellent interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Fluent verbal and written knowledge of English
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strategic and analytical thinker
Well developed organisational and time management skills
