Description
If you're a Mid Level MySQL DBA with solid production support skills, and would like to gain experience with Oracle and DB2, then check out this long-term contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC! You could also work in their Atlanta office! Our client is in the midst of digesting diverse acquisition databases, and has an immediate 6+ month contract (extension very likely). In this role you will be performing typical DBA production support, installs, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
The appeal of this role is:
* Exposure to Oracle and DB2 enterprise databases.
* Exposure to Enterprise Architecture projects.
* Longer project term.
The enterprise has over 10 DBAs in North America, but your Raleigh team will be you, 2 peers (Oracle and DB2), and the DBA Manager. There is a rotating on-call requirement, but no travel.
