Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of food and hospitality services, is seeking a Sr. BI developer for its Charlotte, NC location. Candidate will be working on a project consisting of sourcing data from a new custom application developed in Oracle ERP framework and loading into existing enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW) using SSIS and developing a SSAS cube for end-user reporting. The senior developer must be someone with 6+ years experience developing Microsoft based BI solutions with SSIS and SSAS in a dimension model. This senior resource will assist with design/development and performance some analyst work.
Responsibilities will include:
* Ensures source system is accessible to the Datawarehouse or data mart.
* Understands timing of source systems and develops job streams to meet the needs of the client solution.
* Maintains SQL and other data extraction and staging skills required to move data out of the Datawarehouse and deliver to data marts.
* Interpret extraction specifications into program design.
* Implement extract programs.
* Implement and exploit ETL tools.
* Document the ETL process.
* Works collaboratively with client and team members.
Required Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Datawarehouse, data mart and database technologies, standards and methodologies.
* Solid experience and knowledge in designing and delivering Business Intelligence and/or data warehousing solutions.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Detailed knowledge of data integration software vendors and the respective tools from a design and development standpoint.
* At least 6 years of experience working with Microsoft related Business Intelligence tools, specifically SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
* At least 3 years total experience working in a Business Intelligence environment as an ETL Developer.
* Exposure to other tools, Cognos, Informatica or Oracle is beneficial but not required.
* W2 only; No third party or 1099 candidates.*
