Dallas Client seeks a Sr. Procurement Specialist for a 12-month project.  
- Primarily responsible for supporting cost estimating with quoting for both internal and external business/capture.
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and identify the best qualified source to support engagement for new business pursuits.
- Other job duties may include sourcing, negotiating, and the documentation of procurement for materials, services, and supplies as required.
- Compiles and analyzes data to perform price analysis and reviews proposals to establish price objectives.
- May be required to utilize source selection techniques (eg Best Value, Total Cost of Ownership etc.), perform cost analyses, conduct negotiations (as required), and identify supplier risk.
- May be required to Interface with Integrated Product Teams to understand technical challenges and provide solution options for &buy& technologies.
- Occasionally provides risk and opportunity analysis for early capture as it relates to introduction of new suppliers to mitigate risks with regard to early supplier decisions.
- Ensure requirements (ie prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers.
- Compiles and analyzes information to keep informed on industry trends and manufacturing processes.
- Assists in the development of bids and agreements, and executes to customer requirements, including government regulations, public law and client's policies and procedures.  

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Cost Estimating and Bid and Proposal experience
- Must be able to read blueprints, drawing specifications
- Must be able to perform Price/Cost Analysis in support of CAPA submission
- Must have knowledge of the supplier selection process, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Supplier Qualification
- Must have a basic understanding of Strategic Enterprise Aligned Commodity and Preferred Supplier List  

Desired Skills:
- Experience with $1M+ subcontract negotiations and associated procurement documentation
- Experience with metal products including machining subcontracts and casting commodities
- Experience with Government procurement/material acquisition
- Complete purchasing skills including order placement, expediting, and supplier management.
