Come and join a large reputable global IT Outsourcer that has over 3000 staff throughout Australia and New Zealand. They are known as the supplier of choice for leading corporate and government organisations based in this region and offer lots of career opportunities to their staff!

This expanding international organisation is currently seeking a Change & Release Manager on a contract basis to manage their ITIL Release Management Life Cycle in an IT Infrastructure environment. You will be accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of Release into a customer environment typically for a single customer or multiple small customers but in accordance with the organisation's ITIL and ISO framework. Your main responsibilities will include to:
  • Responsibility and accountability for the on time delivery of all Release Process outputs as defined in the release policy, process and procedure and documented in release plans
  • Accountability for customer satisfaction as it relates to delivery of release to agreed SLA
  • Setting customer expectations for the delivery of ITIL release requirements using a variety of communication methods such as presentations, training, meetings and knowledge sessions
  • Providing process input and governance by coordinating and facilitating the delivery of all phases of the Release life cycle through the defined Release team
  • Providing input into process solutions that reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Producing Post Release Reviews to identify improvements to process and procedures
To be successful in obtaining this position you will have previous experience in the following;
  • Experience in a Release Management role in an ITIL environment
  • Project Management role in a corporate environment
  • Technical management experience
  • Strong understanding of SDLC
  • Background in Desktop Applications is an advantage
  • Background in Applications would be beneficial
  • Change Management experience (advantageous)
  • ITIL Service Management Certification
  • Must have superior skills in MS Word and EXCEL.
  • High level of negotiation skills when working with Operational groups and with the Client would be an advantage
