GREAT contract to perm opportunity to join a global technology company with self-service solutions for ATM machines and software, POS and Retail systems, and airline check-in systems as a Software Architect in the Alpharetta area!

A Software Architect is a senior role within the company's technical community. This person will typically tackle the most challenging problems often associated with leading edge technology. They will have development responsibilities, provide technical guidance to other developers and be a trusted advisor to leadership team for strategic decision making on product development.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Lead development role on a large, highly available, international web application
Work with Product Management on application technical design to address required functionality
Help establish development best practices on class hierarchy, application organization, automated unit testing, etc.
Act as internal escalation point to assist other developers.
Conduct tests, both unit and integration testing, of software configurations.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance (technical documentation and specifications which are generally for internal use only).
Exhibit high personal commitment to quality, implementing Development best practices
Work with Quality Engineering and Support staff to resolve problems with released software.
Provide input on program schedule and accurate estimation of project deadlines.
Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting and testing
Resolves programming problems
Address escalated technical support cases
Provides input towards general process improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline
10+ years of related experience
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and design on highly scalable Web based applications
Proficient in automated unit test development practices and design methodologies
  Experience, certification/training or skills in development environments, architecture, software design, coding and testing, and programming languages

Able to work under tight deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively multi-task
Ability to drive issues to effective resolution
Ability to find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems
