My client is a large government agency with strong links to the community. Its Information Technology division is the largest in Queensland and supports the delivery of the services provided by the organisation.

They are looking to employ an experienced training lead to manage the training effort for a large-scale SAP implementation for the client. This role involves working collaboratively with the Organisational Change Management Team, communications resources, other program team colleagues and business resources.

SAP Senior Training Lead reports into the Organisational Change Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a training team of content authors, trainers and scheduling resources
  • Oversee the management of the SAP RWD uPerform E-learning application
  • Consider and implement E-learning strategy
  • Review and refresh Program Training Strategy as needed
  • Develop and manage execution of Training Plan, Training Schedule, Role Analysis and Training Needs Analysis
  • Engage with Program and business resources for all interdependent activities
  • Liaise with Organisational Change Management team to capture training dependencies and minimise impact of training on operational commitments
  • Set and monitor training standards and templates
  • Plan and manage training material development effort
  • Plan and manage training delivery including train-the-trainer, training pilots, classroom led training and self-paced eLearning
  • Plan and manage scheduling/logistics and end user support
  • Oversee training effectiveness surveys and modify training as required
  • Escalate issues and risks where required
  • Provide input into recommended business as usual training and support model
  • Manage training environments, data and log-ons, liaising with client and Program technical staff

To be further considered, you will need

  • Tertiary and/or appropriate qualifications (preferably in disciplines associated with training, change management or communications) or substantial industry experience in an ICT project-based environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of training solutions to support the successful implementation of large and complex business transformation programs (specifically within an SAP context)
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels and supporting business areas throughout the identification, scheduling and successful rollout of training
  • Experience in developing and delivering training related presentations and facilitating workshops to all levels of staff within an organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of program and project management principles and the concepts and issues that can arise from the management of ICT initiatives
