We are currently seeking a Microsoft SQL Report Writer for an initial scoping exercise.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Develop, design and create SQL reports in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
-Performance and tuning of existing stored procedures and Transact SQL development for in-house applications and automation.
-Become a resource to the company with in-depth knowledge of the data architecture and retrieval of the data.
-Monitor stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
-Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues and conduct database transaction audits.
-Work with application support/development teams for database report request.
-Access reporting needs of various departments through investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine the desired results.
-Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports.
-Work closely with all levels of end users to quickly develop reports which will be used for quality and outcomes reporting as well as strategic business decisions..

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
-3+ years experience as a SQL Report Writer in Microsoft SQL Server.
-Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices.
-Strong understanding of writing stored procedures, triggers, user functions, views and indexes
-strong experience in designing and implementing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services suite (SSRS).
-Strong knowledge of Windows Server ; good Active Directory knowledge.
-Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills.
-Experience in C#, Visual Basic or other programming language(s) a plus.
-Experience with development and deployment in a production environment.
-Ability to interact with end-users, communicate tasks to clients and discuss tactical/strategic issues with management.
