Manning Global is currently looking for C20 Engineer to start ASAP for one of our client, a leading international Telecommunications company on a contract basis in the UK.

The main responsibilities are:
-Performing backups on the whole of the C20 network prior to any new patching activities
-Auditing networks, working out missing patches and MR’s, downloading all missing patches and MRs for the various elements for all sites
-Patching each component one at a time
-Raising cases if issues are found
-Documenting the patch / MR application
-Once all elements are patched or MR’d carry out all call matrix and make sure that basic calls and feature calls still work
-Prepare rollout plan for the live sites based on the time taken in the lab
-Assisting the live prime while they are applying the lab base line to the first live site, answering any questions or concerns they have
-Monitoring cases that might be open as a result of live patching
-Reviewing bulletin that might be applicable to DFTS
-Clearing and monitoring alarms on the lab
-Resetting passwords
-Managing any hardware faults and RMA
-Responding to remote site access request from GENBAND GTS team
-Attending weekly case review calls with the DFTS live team and GENBAND GTS team
-Monitoring any emergency patches or MR’s that come out during the patch freeze period
-Assisting the engineers in the field in case they need some support with the live site such as changing tapes and CD for backups, power cycling failed severs, collecting logs for C20 related issues, assisting in replacing and executing the RMA of faulty parts
-Working with other vendors on equipment that interacts with the C20 such as IVR systems provided by Avaya, i2000 OAC provided DataPulse, Smart Numbers provided by BT, Avaya M1 PBX, Siemens DX PBX, Siemens HiPath SIP PBX
-Adding new trunks, building new data fill, installing and getting the SIP Asterisk server working, adding new lines
-Flashing IP phones to run the SIP loads
-Bringing in or taking out trunks
-Installing tester, developing test scripts, executing testing on particular C20 element
-Changing or improving test cases for the lab
-Re-testing issues either seen in the lab or the live network
-Trouble shooting cabling or interconnect issue within the lab
-Taking deliveries as at times I am the only one person on site that is permanently on site every day
-Assisting the lab manager with general activities
-Helping maintain security process of lab equipment and keys
