Description:
As a web designer you will set design standards for and drive the creation of compelling designs for global web sites. Your creativity, understanding of user behavior and strong visual design sense will contribute to developing cutting edge web pages with a great user experience. You will work collaboratively with other web designers, developers and architects. You are an individual with a well-rounded skill set including strong HTML and CSS abilities, Photoshop/Fireworks and Illustrator expertise, technical savvy, great attention to detail, and proven expertise in web page design and development.
Responsibilities
* Designing major components of a site and setting standards across large project areas, often global in scope
* Driving creative web projects from start to finish, collaborating with Marketing, Engineering and other web designers and developers
* Creating content/site maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
* Conducting and applying research on design practices, identifying problems and proposing creative solutions
* Synthesizing feedback from multiple sources and iterating rapidly on mockups
* Fulfilling several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Requirements
* Online portfolio of work required
* Expert in user-centric and data-driven design
* Strong visual design sense
* Strong HTML/CSS/JS skills with solid knowledge of usability, accessibility and cross browser issues
* Experience designing and implementing web sites with a strong knowledge of graphic editing and optimization
* Excellent attention to detail, keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of design best practices
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Notes
* Any web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus, but this position is 100% design oriented
* Online portfolio links are required and should be at the forefront of the offering
* The ability to quickly prototype wireframes or visual concepts is a big plus
