Description

You will have extensive experience as an electrical designer in the process industry. You will preferably have executed projects in the refinery/oil and gas sectors. Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will have a flexible approach to work, be well motivated and possess the ability to work in a team and take responsibility for others.

You will be required to produce accurate, high quality work to tight deadlines, and will be responsible for the following:

-Executing assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, IEC and Client Standards, including Foster Wheeler and/or client procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man hour and cost budgets and project schedule targets.
-Liaising with the Electrical Engineer regarding the interpretation of Specifications and Standards. Production of design drawings/documents including but not limited to;- Block cable diagrams, Single Line Diagrams Wiring schematics, Cable and tray routing diagrams Lighting Layouts Cable schedules Junction box schedules Panel layout drawings Bills of materials Reviewing drawings for accuracy, compatibility, consistency, and for compliance with design criteria and overall project requirements.
-Assisting discipline Engineers and Lead Designers by attending meetings and design reviews.
-Interpreting vendor`s documentation and data in order to incorporate into design packages.
-Carry out surveys of existing Electrical installations.
-Producing preliminary designs and assisting with man hour and bulk material estimates.

You should have:

Experience using Microstation V8i, AutoCAD, MS word, MS excel.. The ability to read and understand P&IDs, Mechanical GA`s, Piping drawings and Civil drawings is desired. Good working knowledge of ATEX, other relevant British and European standards and general Electrical principals.
