Description

-The post will involve technical engineering responsibility of various control systems upgrade/modification projects on established North Sea assets.
-Knowledge and awareness of the architecture of various Fire and Gas ESD, PSD and DCS Systems including ICS, Honeywell, and Emerson Delta V control system will be an advantage for this post.
-Specification of DCS, ESD and F&G Systems modification work to existing installations, Field Instrumentation specification and procurement, instrument installation design, generation of all types of Instrument Deliverables and liaison with other disciplines, checking of design drawings and packages, control system narratives, FAT and SAT Witness Testing and final commissioning procedures.

Specific Training/Specialist Skills:
-Understand Instrumentation and control system design principles, familiar with current instrumentation and controls design standards relating to the offshore oil and gas industry, SIL levels, IPF functions (IEC-61508 and IEC-61511), ATEX, PED etc

Experience:
-Experience after completion of post graduate training experience in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
-For non Degree qualified, then an appropriate progression through trade and or design levels with the ability to demonstrate technical competency.

-Adaptable, good communicator, willing to react quickly to requirements.
-Positive approach to problem solving.
-Must be a team player.
