QC Test Analyst in St. Petersburg, FL - Multiple Openings
These positions are responsible for the testing and evaluation of AMI-capable meters and related information systems and Servers for the EnergyWise Program. The incumbent will configure, test and evaluate multiple forms of meters and environments based on a pre-defined series of test criteria. The AMI Test Analyst supports the testing process by executing, and reporting test cases, executing to the testing schedule, recording software defects in defect tracking tool and actively participating in defect resolution, and providing test status reports to test team. The incumbent must be able to work independently without immediate supervision and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. The incumbent must be capable of: i) configuring an electric meter using vendor provided software, ii) setup and configuration of a test environment to simulate conditions for the test, iii) observing the meter under test during the evaluation, iv) analysing the meter's condition after the test, v) testing and validating hosted environments, system configurations and project and customer requirements, vi) documenting the results/observations in a software tracking tool for examination,
Required Qualifications

- Direct experience w/various manufacturers' electric meter testing/calibration including smart grid Servers & technologies;
- Detail oriented with good communication and writing skills;
- Possess strong documentation and computer skills including MS Office 2007 suite;
- Demonstrated project test experience - understand project objectives and solution life cycle;
- 2 year degree relative to industry and 3-5 years of job related experience or 7-9 years job related experience without degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer demonstrated project experience with complex technical solution implementations.
Software experience: Silver Springs Networks Utility IQ, Hewlett Packard Quality Center (HPQC);
Demonstrated knowledge of Unit, Functional, System, Performance, Technical, Operational testing and tools utilized
Experience in electric utility technical solutions;
Demonstrated strong electrical background or engineering degree;
