Information Technology Procurement Specialist - Phoenix, AZ

An established company searching for a 6 month contract Information Technology Procurement Specialist.  This resource will need to have a unique mix of skill sets with the strongest needs are in understanding both Information Technology equipment, processes and procurement process and resources.  The individual must have skills as outlined in the required Skills and Experience and Preferred Candidate sections. 
  
Skills and Experience Required: 
Advanced procurement, acquisition, and contracting experience in the procurement of Information Technology (IT) hardware, software, systems, services/support (to include: maintenance, customization, consulting, integration of environments) and other related areas.
Ability to work for long periods of time on projects requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to operate in a calm and efficient manner under stringent and extremely short and changing deadlines.
Strong writing skills, with the ability to adapt output to targeted audience (eg executive level, technical level, vendors, management, end-user).
Possess good communication skills.
Organizing project materials for easy reference and retrieval.
Design and develop spreadsheets and databases (EXCEL and ACCESS), Tables (WORD 07 preferred) and PowerPoint presentations.
Formatting of complex and multi-document projects.
Experience in using a laptop and projector to support technical presentations, team input, negotiations and other situations.
Experience in Internet use/search/retrieval of information.

PREFERRED:
Experience in the Procurement of Government services, not simply as a deliverer of services.
Knowledge of the State of Arizona procurement laws, Uniform Commercial Code; contemporary service programs and delivery systems in public agencies, and available community and marketplace resources.
Experience in all aspects of contract preparation.
