Security Specialist (Checkpoint)
12 month contract role
$60-70/hour package
About the Organisation
This leading outsourcer requires a Security Specialist due to growth within the business and new client wins. This position is responsible for the installation, decommission and ongoing support of network infrastructure, namely Firewalls and proxies.
About the Role
The Security Specialist will promote and develop new business initiatives by providing technical and operational advice. On a day to day basis the security specialist will be working across administration and support for services activation, systems monitoring and resolution of problems within contracted service levels. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to manage the implementation of new systems and boarding of new customer services.
The ideal candidate will have worked within an Operational environment supporting Network and Firewall Technologies such as Checkpoint, NetScreen, Cisco PIX, Nokia and Juniper, who are comfortable with a client facing role and wanting to be part of an environment which will add value to their career. In addition the security specialist must have strong experience with Bluecoat Proxies.
Skill and experience required:
* Proven experience in an operational environment
* Strong Technical Skills across operating systems (Sun Solaris and Windows Server Platform) as well as Firewall (Checkpoint, NetScreen, Cisco PIX, Nokia and/or Juniper)
* Commercial experience with Bluecoat proxies
* Candidates without experience with both Checkpoint and Bluecoat will not be considered
* Excellent communication skills
