Description of Work

- GIS technical support on designing the architecture for the application
- Design and implement the SDE Geo-database
- Developing and maintaining centralized web-based GIS services within SRS unit
- preparing different types of geospatial analysis using ArcGIS software and various techniques;
- following-up geospatial developments in other SRS projects
- Support the development and customization of the Web GIS component
- Customising web-based GIS (based on ESRI technology);
- GIS technical support on implementation of the application solution within the client ICT infrastructure.
- Managing geospatial data collection and maintenance including checking and processing geospatial data collected from various sources for the application;
- Drafting and maintaining technical GIS reports and documentation on achieved tasks and deliverables;
- Performing any other supporting tasks related to his level of expertise

IMPORTANT Requirements

- Experience in applying GIS for public health purposes;
- Extensive experience in sourcing, formatting and processing GIS data.

- GIS Data Analysis and Data Management
- Strong knowledge of different geospatial methodologies, tools, analysis and professional experience in their practical application;
- Strong knowledge of ArcGIS suite (preferable version 10 suite) and professional experience in its practical application (including ArcInfo, ArcGIS
- Server and extensions such as Spatial Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, 3D Analyst, Data Interoperability and Tracking Analyst);
- SDE Geodatabase Design, implementation
- Basic Web GIS development for specific data mapping.
- Creating Thematic Mapping
- Perform spatial analysis by using GIS software Metadata Standards, including INSPIRE
- Relational databases and knowledge of MS SQL;
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint in connection with using it as a tool for searching and exposing map documents that are stored in a geo-database will be an added advantage.
