Description
Large Public Sector client needs 3 Consultation and Engagement Specialists required to be responsible for the planning and delivery of a portfolio of site-specific consultations, communication and engagement activities for schemes and projects, asset renewals and bus service changes as identified by the business, within a nominated area. Responsible for creating and delivering the plan for the portfolio of communication, consultation and engagement work within a nominated area including resourcing arrangements. The delivery plan will be informed by the C&E plan for Games delivery workstreams that is put together by the Lead Games C&E Manager (Planning). Responsible for developing the strategy, planning and delivering stakeholder and public consultations and engagements for Games deliverables within a nominated area as part of the project team. Gain acceptance from workstream SRO on approach adopted and ensure continued engagement with the Project Board and key project team members during the life of the project. Responsible for advising and planning appropriate and proportionate consultations and engagements that meet with the requirements of the Games delivery workstream. Responsible for ensuring that each consultation follows the client and London 2012 guidelines, are written in plain English, and in particular meets the statutory, as well as all Equality and Inclusion requirements.
Skills Required
Experience
Significant experience of Communications and Engagement planning and delivery in a customer focused and politically charged environment is essential.
Experience of working with Project Managers, Engineers, Transport Planners and other technical specialists to interpret technical/engineering schemes and identify communications and engagement requirements.
Previous experience in a line management role especially involving Communications and Engagement specialists.
Experience of setting up a new team and delivering successful results is required.
Demonstrable experience working with stakeholders from Directors through to operational level staff on complex projects requiring significant public relations and stakeholder engagement.
