Software Test Engineer - Madrid
Our client based in Madrid has a fantastic 6 month initial contract opportunity for a Software Test Engineer.
You will be responsible for:
- Conduct planning, scheduling and testing to assure products meet design specifications and are within quality limits and standards. Role involves system integration testing, UAT as well as constant communication with developers and technical specialists on testing design, issue resolution, production changes, SLA's/quality and ensuring no defects escape to production.
- Participate in test design review with business and development teams
- Prepare test documentation that includes high level test design, test plan, exit reports etc.
- Debug defects and maintain record of test progress and results
- Provides status reports on progress of test execution and problem resolution
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility in finding efficient solutions, abilities in the area of conflict resolution, familiarity with estimating and resource planning, excellent test planning and sensitivity to global cultures will all be required and reviewed as part of the interview process.
Experience and Skills:
- Fluent in English, excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills/Spanish (ideally).
- 2 years and above of hands-on experience in the software testing area.
- Strong hands on experience with executing manual and automated tests, along with debugging and root cause analysis
- knowledge of at least two of the followings: Unix Shell, Java, JavaScript, Oracle
